Hey guys! 👋 I’m a teenager just like you. Literally trying to survive high school, save for Chipotle, or NOT buy something every time TikTok says “run, don’t walk”. Money stuff feels kinda confusing sometimes. Like, we’re supposed to magically know how to “budget”.So these are simple things I started doing that actually helped that I think ANY teen can do them, whether you’re into sports, makeup, gaming, clothes, tech, or even saving up for a Talaria MX 4 bike.
1. Track Your Spending (No reason to Panic)

I used to wonder why my money disappeared like it was a TikTok transition because I never kept a log of the money.
Turns out:

  • The vending machine cravings
  • “It’s only $4” moments
  • Random bike accessories
  • Asetto Corsa video game add-ons
So now I just note it in my phone. Some friends use apps, but Notes works fine.
    Super simple, kinda satisfying.
2. Save a Tiny % Every Time You Get $$ 💰

If you got Birthday money? or an Allowance?
If your aunt gave you $ 20 just for being a good kid?
My sister saves for makeup and claw clips.
My best friend saves for tech upgrades.
I’m saving for new riding gear and maybe one day a Talaria MX 5 ⚡
Save an additional 10% because tiny amounts add up FAST.

3. Make a Mini Goal (Something YOU actually want)

Forget boring adult goals. Make it fun, you are just a teenager.

  • New sneakers
  • A make up product you have been eyeing at Sephora
  • PC/ gaming upgrade 🎮
  • MX4/Talaria parts or gear
  • Cute hoodies
  • Art supplies, journaling stuff, or Lego sets
It feels way better when you know exactly why you’re saving.
4. Use the “24-Hour Rule”

You see something on TikTok like “TIME IS RUNNING OUT,THIS WILL SELL OUT!

PAUSE. Wait for 24 hours before buying. My friend tried this and suddenly stopped buying every cute water bottle she saw 💀
It legit works.

5. The 3-Jar System( Spend| Save | Share)

Use jars, cups, boxes, whatever to diversify your goals.
Every time you get money, split it:
👉 Spend for snacks, small fun stuff
👉 Save for your big goal
👉 Share for donation, charity, or helping someone
It’s the easiest system on earth. remember when we were kids, we had those piggy banks? Its the same concept.

Okay, that was a lot lol 😅
But don’t stress — you’re not supposed to do all of this in one day.

Just try ONE habit this week. Then add another when you’re ready.
Tiny steps = big results. Trust me, it works.

More teen money stuff coming soon… don’t miss it! ✨
